The One

It's a beautiful feeling, when you're with someone,
Who makes you happy, with whom there's never ending fun.
Until that time, that it's destined to be,
What follows ahead is sheer emptiness, loneliness and grief.
Sometimes it may feel like the end of the road,
Take that leap, start off on a new mode.
This world is huge.
With everyone searching to take refuge,
In the comfort of The One,
Who will be their soulmate, their lifelong companion.
Many will come, many will leave,
However, it still feels good to believe,
That someone, somewhere,
Is present out there,
Who will look at you in a way,
That they will not be able to look away ..
Moments spent with them would seem to be just so flawless,
That loving them would be just so effortless.
The thought of the endless possibilities is intriguing,
Though the fear of the unknown would keep retreating.
May be they will step into your life now, may be later,
May be in another life altogether ..
Nonetheless, the truth be told,
The One will be worth it all.

I Something You, not Love..

What exactly is love nowadays?
Where dating only the hottest is a total craze.
Do we even understand its meaning anymore?
With so many options around, we think, why limit ourselves to just one person to adore?


Is this what love is supposed to be?
In a generation of the young, wild and free
Why is my view so different?
Being trapped in a body belonging to this generation with an old school mind sure does require a lot of mental strength.


Love is madness. Love is passionate
Love is magic, it decides one's fate
Is it even love if it doesn't
Turn your entire world upside down while leaving your time feeling most peaceful and pleasant?


It pokes a hole in my heart
It has the power to tear me apart
To see how shallow this world can be
May be nowadays, a kind heart really has little to no value over looks and money.


I tried my best to adopt this behaviour
That's when my conscience became my saviour
Love someone, not just for how they look
Love with all your heart, it pricked. That phrase was not made just to lay resting in a book.


So I have waited for a while now
And my wait will go on somehow
Till I find the one who is willing to
Dive into the depths of my soul rather than just say a meaningless 'I love you'.
