I Something You, not Love..

What exactly is love nowadays?
Where dating only the hottest is a total craze.
Do we even understand its meaning anymore?
With so many options around, we think, why limit ourselves to just one person to adore?


Is this what love is supposed to be?
In a generation of the young, wild and free
Why is my view so different?
Being trapped in a body belonging to this generation with an old school mind sure does require a lot of mental strength.


Love is madness. Love is passionate
Love is magic, it decides one's fate
Is it even love if it doesn't
Turn your entire world upside down while leaving your time feeling most peaceful and pleasant?


It pokes a hole in my heart
It has the power to tear me apart
To see how shallow this world can be
May be nowadays, a kind heart really has little to no value over looks and money.


I tried my best to adopt this behaviour
That's when my conscience became my saviour
Love someone, not just for how they look
Love with all your heart, it pricked. That phrase was not made just to lay resting in a book.


So I have waited for a while now
And my wait will go on somehow
Till I find the one who is willing to
Dive into the depths of my soul rather than just say a meaningless 'I love you'.
